2 Corinthians Lesson 3

Chapter 1:12-14
Clear Communication

There is much to learn from 2 Corinthians looking at the letter from a personal perspective.

We will find answers to Questions such as:

  1. How did Paul exalt Jesus Christ and His grace?
  2. How did Paul understand God's will for his life?
  3. How did Paul relate to God and people?


SUMMARY
v.12 Paul's confidence came from sincerity, holiness, and single mindedness. Not from fleshly wisdom
v.13 Paul has a long term committed relationship in view.
v.13 Paul is plain and straightforward
v.14 Acknowledges their lack of knowledge and/or distrust and the deficiencies of the relationship
v.14 Objective is mutual discipleship and pride

APPLICATION


  1. I pursue holiness and love for God
  2. I communicate with long-term commitment in mind
  3. I acknowledge deficiencies in trust
  4. I seek mutual discipleship
